ABOUT CARRA ROOTS

 

 

Hello! My name is Carra Roots and I am from Richmond, Va. I currently attend Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va majoring in Print and Photo media. First entering as a Graphic Design major, I soon let my love for photography shine through. Since making the switch in majors, I have been focusing on my own series and striving to make a dent in the fine arts of photography. Also while here at ODU, I have established myself as a leader. I serve as president of the gospel choir and on the executive board of a couple of organizations.

In high school, my activities and leadership positions had no lack. I had been in band since elementary school and took on the role of section leader for several years. I also participated on the yearbook committee and work in with the schools paper. Outside of school, I am heavily involved in my home church. There I am a youth leader, praise dancer, and praise team member. All of the attributes that I learned from these experiences, I have taken with me along my college journey.

Photography allows one to express themselves, and I am elated that I have found that out for myself. I love being apart of the bigger picture, and I might try to take that picture if possible.
